Spender. This handsome fella was offered to us right out of  Maple Winds keeper pen. We are very grateful to Maple Wind Caprines for giving us this boy! When I first saw Spender, I couldn't believe how big he was at only 6 months old lol. He was just a gorgeous buck!

His dam, was one of my first picks to get a new herd sire out of (though even that wasn't easy due to the fact that ALL of Maple Wind's goats are awesome in one way or another!). His sire is just as impressive!

Last year we went ahead and bred Spender to ALL of our girls, thataways he could really prove himself out. And boy howdy, did he ever. His kids all have his signature stamp. He made improvements. He made them long, tall, and they have his nice wide nostrils (something that only after dealing with a doe without nice "flaring" nostrils, did I realize how important that is). They're stronger in confirmation and surprisingly fast growers. In fact, his son by Cozy Creek Bambi, looks SO much like Spender. Even down to his sire's color. Consistent I will say! Next year, we'll hopefully get to see how Spender's doe kids will do in the milking parlor!

"Cheesecake". 

Cheesecake has been something since he hit the ground in March of 2026. Nicknamed after the Brandon Burlsworth movie (iykyk 😉), this guy is growing to be a powerful strong young buck. 

He's been solid since the day he was born and is always carrying himself like he owns the place. Wide stance, good set of shoulders, nice head, with dairy skin stretched over his large frame. 

Cheesecake is probably my most exciting buck kid born this year, and after a couple weeks of watching him grow into those large hooves of his, it was easy to decide he wasn't leaving our buck pen anytime soon. 

Cheesecake will be used heavily this year with some really nice linebreedings planned for him

"Colton". 

Colton is such an exciting young addition to our small herd!

     Before we had even got into raising Nubians, I was looking for a potential Nigerian herdsire. And scrolling through Merrytale's Sales Page, two baby nubian bucklings caught my eye. After briefly looking at their background, seeing their dam and sire, & immediate Nubians in their pedigree, I immediately decided then and there if we ever got into Nubians, one of those boys would be my 1st pick for a herdsire. 

And low and behold, doors opened and that very buckling is happily sitting (more like running around like crazy 🤪) in our buck pen right now - a blessing for sure. 

Colton is such a sweet well mannered boy, and has had a great FAMACHA since hes been with us which is not something we take lightly around here. 

He's standing on a very strong set of hooves, has a width/strength throughout, and yet the second you run your hands down him you could instantly feel that dairy skin. Love those floppy ears, his flash, and that solid dairy buck look about him. And don't get me started on that incredible brisket he is still growing into. 

I have a good feeling this boy will be one to watch in the years to come - so keep an eye out!
