Guardians of the Homestead
Our LGD'S behind the scenes.
We got our first LGD nearly 6 years ago, and we will never regret that decision. Our alpha male has been a very important member, working his job like we was bred to, instincts run high with these working dogs. It runs in their blood, it is apart of who they are. Now not all dogs labeled as LGD'S work well with livestock. You have some that are just way to wild, refuse to bond with their livestock, are escape artists, and even some who actually eat/kill livestock. Personally, we believe a lot of that boils down to how they were started off in the beginning, how they were raised/trained, what kind of breeders bred them (puppy mill etc), and what kind of genetics are behind them.
LGD'S should be a huge benefit to your farm. They should be working for you, not you for them. We've heard some say, LGD'S are worth their weight in gold. They truly are incredible animals, and for us, are definitely worth their feed bill.
We raise and breed LGD'S for exactly that. To be great guardians for their livestock. To bond with their livestock, and be well mannered, respectful dogs. Now we don't own LGD'S to breed them, but rather for the work they do on our farm. So with that being said, we only breed once a year, and only have 2 main breeders. Pups go quick, so if an LGD from working lines is something your interested for your farm/homestead/ranch, don't hesitate to reach out!

First question. Is this guy proven? He is a proven livestock guardian. He is a proven breeder, as we've had 3 litters sired by him. He is also proven in the kind of pups he's produced.
