We chose TAMUK rabbits as our primary breed after extensive research into the meat rabbit world. While standard commercial breeds are popular, we needed a resilient animal that could truly thrive in a self-sufficient homestead environment. Developed by Texas A&M University-Kingsville, the TAMUK composite breed delivers everything a homestead breeder could ask for.
